Critique de Telerama...

Curieux film, qui paraît d'abord broder sur une seule figure : David Bowie, pop star parachutée sur la planète cinéma comme son personnage d'alien dans l'Amérique des années 70. Le maquillage blafard, la teinture orange vif stylisent un peu plus ce frêle égaré, dont l'incarnation terrestre est un mystérieux magnat de la technologie de l'image. On voit d'ailleurs Bowie/Newton inventer une forme primaire du zapping, face à un mur de téléviseurs diffusant des programmes différents. L'amour fiévreux d'une femme de chambre nommée Mary-Lou oriente l'affaire vers un mélo gentiment sexuel.
C'était sans doute la seule façon d'échapper aux errements d'un scénario abracadabrant. Cela vaut à Bowie des scènes à la fois troublantes et ridicules, à mi-chemin de la glorification et du bizutage. Une fois épuisés ses charmes visuels, le film ne veut pas finir. Ses derniers rebonds semblent aléatoires et n'ont qu'un seul but : empêcher l'alien de retourner sur sa planète. Depuis cette première tentative avec Nicolas Roeg (qui avait pareillement testé Mick Jagger dans Performance), David Bowie n'est pas souvent revenu au cinéma (Furyo, Les Prédateurs). L'Homme qui venait d'ailleurs, objet résolument bizarre, difforme et daté, lui offre le rôle qui lui va le mieux.

je regrette vraiment n'avoir pas réussi à remettre la main sur des photos de Brett Anderson qui posait comme sur des cliché inédits de Young Americans à cette époque
Il me semble que c'était dans un mag "FACE" ou "Arena" , ce qui est sûr c'est que c'était un mag Anglais

Below is the poster I designed for the event on 18 November 1969 when David Bowie came to play accoustic guitar and sing Space Oddity (and other stuff) at the Gun Tavern in Croydon. I was part of something called Croydon Arts Lab at the time, but we somehow shortened that to Egg, hence the shape of the image.

Sérieusement : Je suis complètement d'accord avec Florence. Mieux, je trouve ça carrément émouvant. N'est il pas digne et beau, notre grand-père préféré ? Sur les deux dernières là, de dos, j'en aurais presque les larmes aux yeux, sans dec. David s'en va, les yeux au sol.

Il me parait évident pour ma part que je souhaite de moins en moins un retour de David Bowie. Là je pense à mon père. Quand il retourne son jardin, ou quand il bricole dans sa cave, est ce que j'ai envie que mon vieux reprenne le taf ? Ben non. Parce j'ai envie qu'il soit libre. Parce que je l'aime. Voilà. Même chose pour David Jones. Ca fait plaisir d'avoir des "nouvelles", mais effectivement, quand je le vois avec son petit sac, j'ai vraiment envie qu'on lui foute la paix.

nous pourrions pour la plupart ici, être ses enfants mais c'est par pour autant qu'il est le grand père des miens qui en ont mais carrément rien à foutre du "vieux" . Par ailleurs un mec qui porte des PONY au pieds c'est un mec dans le coup, un BOBO qui porte des sac de produits Delicatessen. Ce ne sont pas des sac E.D purée!.
Bowie est un Artiste donc tant qu'il n'a pas pété un "cable", ou atteind de Parkinson son cerveau est en mesure de créer quelque chose ses mains de jouer d'instruments non ?. Je doute qu'il ne produise plus rien à l'avenir.

Basquette, Casquette, Mouchette ... oui, les tempes ont bien changé ... Le Thin White Duke a du poil qui lui pousse dans les narines jusque dans le pavillon ... Ce que j'aime c'est surtout les rapaces que nous sommes ... Le narcissisme du fan plus que le sien ... Le pot de confiture il est pour nous ... Nous en avions déjà parlé mais le cas Bowie (j'entends ce que sa mise en jeux provoque chez l'adulant) est un sucre d'orge ... le fan se retrouve désemparé de sa propre projection lorsque l'image ne correspond plus à la voix ...une schize à plusieurs niveaux ... Faites vos jeux ... (nous serions à ce point malade- en terme de dépendance- de l'image qu'il se fabrique) .

OUPs! ce qui m'intéresse c'est son travail ! Je ne me sens pas rapace, sa dépouille ne m'intéresse pas vraiment. Par contre l'emballage dont il a fait et continu a faire son fond de commerce est intéressant à plus d'un titre parce qu'il influence un tant soit peu des modes encore aujourd'hui. On parlait de Glam l'année dernière aux défilés Haute couture et prêt à porter. Si Bowie porte des PONY c'est parce c'est "tendance" et nous en verrons de plus en plus dans la rue. pour le moment c'est juste Hype! :D

Ce n'est plus mon problème. M'en suis soigné.bref, J'ai juste fait un arrêt sur image, et tu sais quand ... bref, le moment, one magical moment, une perfection en soi sans chercher un perfectible, mais le perfecto berlinois était le bien venu :D. Me suis détaché aussi de cette dépendance même si le look à la Reality m'a, en quelque sorte blessé. Une faute de goût ou peut-être l'adéquation de cette tournée. Mais sa posture d'icône demeurrait inséparable de sa posture vocale ... une qui voix suivait son image. La style comme disait l'autre...

Je crois avoir fais des heureux en envoyant les quelques photos de 76, ce qui me comble de joie c'est le nombre que j'aurais le plaisir encore d'envoyé, et cela grace à une personne génial qui m'a expliqué comment procéder, d'ailleur pourquoi n'y a t-il pas un mode d'emploi du comment envoyer nos trésors ? Pour ceux qui bien évidement auraient plaisir à le faire. Pour ma part, je regrettais toujours et cela depuis le début, d'acheter à grand frais des livres où l'on ne trouvais que trés peu de photos du maître, par contre des écrits....Mais je suis beaucoup trop nouveau dans le monde de Manof, mais quelle joie lorsque j'ai découvert ce cite, et surtout pour les merveilleuses photos, rares, déja connues ou en passe de le devenir.
En tout cas, merçi pour ce cite, de la part d'un modeste mais ancien fan.

Du coup les grandes gueules mais nouveaux fans attendent vraiment et sincèrement, la bave aux lèvres, tes souvenirs, ton expérience Bowie etc. etc. Take it easy, à l'occase :flowers:

C'est intéressant ce montage. Quand la vidéo est devenue facilement visible, dans les années quatre-vingt dix, notamment utilisée pour les best of, je me suis dit que les couleurs étaient devenues baveuses, que la pellicule (ou bande magnétique) s'était abîmée, qu'ils avaient fait des retouches vidéo... Que ce n'était pas ce que l'on avait vu dans les années soixante-dix... Mais je n'était pas sûr...

N'en a-t-on pas la preuve ici ?... avec certaines versions ça vire au vert. Or la couleur d'origine... notamment le maquillage et le costume... c'est bleu... Non?

Il y a quelques années , il nous avait révélé une série de clichés période Diamond Dogs (Bowie avec le cleps). Quelqu'un aurait gardé ses clichés quelque part au fond de ses tiroirs ?

merci Wild ! la tension diminue et la température retourne dans le froid à présent ! :laugh: et dire que la Jaunisse nous balance des grandes affiches à l'urbaine pour nous annoncer sa der des der (hors déclinaison germanique, cela s'entend ...)...

L' image subsistuée est une photomosaïque qui utilise plus de 3300 images séparées dont toutes sont les photographies de Mick Rock de David Bowie.
C'est quelque chose comme cinquante-six rangées de soixante images!
La photomosaïque a été créée par Craig Adam pour MOSAICLEGENDS , imprimé sur le papier (journal) d'archives métallique de cristal dans une édition très limitée de 25.

oui c'est une partie des clichés il y en a d'autre où il est seul dans des prises de vue sous différents angles. Elles étaient présentées il y a quelques années sous forme de planches contacts et quelques une avaient été selectionnées. C'était visible sur une page web...

oui, oui, oui, je contemple cette aura surtout ... cette trace d'une rayure sur cette surface si polie, si exacte ... le Duke est une légende, un phantasme et qui répond à un axe de notre histoire. C'est un conte qui a forgé son mythologique en mythomania ...Il ya de fortes belles épreuves que vous me tendez-là. Je me rêve de dédier un cabinet entièrement habillé de cadres de toute dimension représentant ce mouvement de grâce qu'il débusqua de ses poudres. Merci à vous tous et merci aussi Wild de ce fond de tiroir... les plus abimées ont ce charme d'une proximité moins légendaire. Un bouger qui nous y survivrait ...
